What is the actual problem w/88 vert?
I know its something about missing roof rails but I can't find any information about the specific problem they cured. Obviously it's water-related. I haven't driven mine in a downpour yet, and I want to be prepared for whatever it is.

You mean with the convertible roof?
There is no real "problem" for say, they just changed a few things for the series 5 versions. They modified the drains on the side, just behind the doors (if you get the 88 factory rear section replacement it too will have the 89-92 style drain holes/hose) for better run off. They also swapped the fabric wrap, so that the seam on the top section acts like a water channel. |
Thanks. I haven't looked at a 89+ vert so I don't know what the physical difference is. Is it just something over the side windows so water doesnt dump on you when you get out?

Although I have driven my 88 (with the 88 style seam on the roof section) in the rain and didn't have the rain drip problem. |
