weird sucking noise from intake

This happens now and then and it really bugs me.
Whenever my RPM is from 4500 to 8000, I would hear a sucking/hissing noise from the intake. It starts at 4500 RPM, then louder at 5500 and progressively getting louder to 8000. Does anyone now what it is? Intake leak?

Thanks.

do you have a cone intake? After I installed mine it did the same thing, but its just that, the cone intake. It lets alot more air in then the old stock air box and all that air comming in sounds like a freight train!

sucking noise from intake??? nooo

sorry i couldnt resist, but come on, that is what the intake does. i mean no offense, but you would have to elaborate more on that because my intake always makes a sucking noise.

Actually, it's not from the intake.....(freaken late nite)
It's from infront of the driver seat.
The sucking/chainsaw sound from the cone intake is normal I know.

When I am sitting in the driver sit with all windows closed, hood close and just rev the car. A high pitch hissing noise would come infront of the dash. Not a howling sucking noise, but like a high pitch (pisssssss) kind of thing. It does it in drive too. The hissing start from 4500rpm all the way up to whenever I stop the throttle.

Better picture?

Thanks in advance.

Hissing sound as the rpms climb ? Sounds like belts. Drop some WD40 on the belts. If the hissing stops, then replace all of them (its rather cheap, so....). You should see some improvement in performance too....

do you just WANT him to have no accessories on his car? Lubricate the belts... yeah the ones that require FRICTION to work..
