Weird problem with new installed s5 lights.

I was reading the site (I can't remember the link) shows you how to convert the s4 to s5 tails.

Well on the site it said its NOT suppose to fit without modifying the the inner part of because its too big.

My s5 tails fit in there perfectly fine......but now sometimes when i drive I would get the random "STOP" light from the idoit light cluster come on, sometimes one left or right inner light(next to the reverse lights) would go out, if I smack it would come back on.

Any body got a solution to this? I use the wires from the s5, tails and center piece....why did my car fit the s5's perfectly?

Sounds like a wire grounding out. Are you sure theyre on perfectly flush? The can come pretty close, but not be all the way in.

Tony is right, its probably just a bad ground.... As for the fitting, Im not sure if Im not mistaken, the S5 tail lights are thicker than the S4 hence the reason they wont work with my body kit.... From what I understand, they mount fine as long as you dont have a special bumper

so....what? should I just electrical tape everything I see?

But before you do that make sure light bulb connection is free of corrosion or moisture.

And then, you should tape it for extra insurance.

Sounds like a loose wire or dodgy bulb. Check all the connections to make sure they're secure. Wiggle each wire while the brake lights are held on to see if any go out. Try swapping the bulbs around to determine if it's the bulbs or their wiring.

ah.....you know.......i did pull these lights in the snow...so probably is just moisture on the wires.

i'll have to dry it clean and tape it.
