Weird Problem
OK so i get back from deployment and start driving my car again.... And al the sudden i lose all clutch pedal movement. I mean it just sticks to the floor. So I check the fluid fill it up because it was really low and then bleed the system. Works fine... Until today... then the same problem.
No obvious leaks any one had this problem before? Thanks! |
ur cluth is run on a vacume system ... same as your breaks .... there is a seal leak somewhere causing u to loose all pressure thus giving u air in the line ... thus rendering your clutch usless prolly need to replace or rebuild both master and slave cylinder for your clutch system
|
Any good places to order one... Im in Germany so i cant just go buy one at autozone...
|
Don't you mean hydraulic system?
AFgreasemonkey: Sounds like a faulty internal seal in the clutch master or slave that is allowing the fluid to flow around it as you press the pedal and thereby not pressurizing the fluid. Like RD says, rebuild both or better yet, buy new units, install and bleed. |
kinda what i figured its good for maybe 10 or so shifts after i bleed it...
So next question WHere the hell is the fluid going? |
Also should i replace the master or slave or both?
|
You might as well just get both. At least then you'll know that the problem is fixed.
I picked mine up from Nopi online. It was a pretty good deal and brand new. The fluid is just going back and forth between the line and around the seal since the seal isn't stopping it. |
Just ordered a both from Mazda trix, thanks!

Thats because the clutch system is NOT vacuum assisted like the brakes..
|
See thats what got me because if i use my foot to bring the pedal back up then push it down it works. Then sticks to the floor again. As long as i rev match the engine i can sift without the clutch its just a bitch to do everytime i stop.

When my master cylinder went i couldn't see the leak untill i removed it and looked at the firewall underneath.
