Weird heater related problem

The problem is that no matter what setting the logicon is at (hot or cold or any place in between), the windshield vents, and leg vents ALWAYS blow out hot air, while the vents on the centre console and the side window vents ALWAYS blow out cold air. Does anybody know how this is even possible?

Do you want us to guess?...Troubleshoot...FSM has procedures for you...:)

Crap at this point everything i'd be doing would be a guess. And i have yet to check either the FSM or my Haynes manual about this, but i thought the venting system was just a series of pipes that all basically led to the heater/blower unit under the dash somewhere?

But your temp control door is controlled by the logicon, and there are several troubleshooting steps for the logicon in the FSM...So instead of throwing parts ($) at it, do a little electrical troubleshooting first...

Yep, test the air mix motor and the mode motors... FSM or search here (I have posted quite a few times on how to test them).

Once you test them, if they are okay, then you will need to either have your logicon rebuilt or replaced... (I do both, check out my website).

But if either is bad, then you will need to replace that motor first.
