Weird ECU errors = New sensors?
 

Ok so i decided to get rid of my Check engine light once and for all, i checked my ECU and got the following errors:

#11 Intake air thermo sensor

#12 Throtle Sensor (Full Range)

#18 Throtle Sensor (Narrow Range)

Im guessing these might be the cause of my horrible fuel milage, question is do i just buy new sensors? and number 12, 18, could someone explain these to me? I dont get the Full Range/ Narrow range part. Im guessing its open throtle and closed throtle?

Throtle sensor = TPS or am i mistaking?

Replacing those two sensors (intake air and TPS) will be pretty cheap, as long as you don't buy brand new stuff from mazda. Check on ebay or post what you're looking for in the parts section.

The narrow range/full range codes are separate because the S5 TPS has two resistors, instead of the single full range one that S4s have.

why would you replace bad parts with used parts that are possibly bad?

Go on and FIX the problem, dont try to find a way around it. If your sensors are bad, replace them with new. Alleviate the problem, dont work around it.

Cuz we drive FC's and we broke foo.

air intake sensor is cheap new, makes sure its plugged in, then buy

tps: if you look at it theres 2 sensors on one bracket, and they are $$$$$$$$ new, and used ones are bad (why do you think its for sale). try adjusting it.

The free online series five FSM is available for a free download. Look in the Fuel and Emissions chapters. It tells you in detail how to trouble shoot these codes. There's probably not a thing wrong with the sensors. The plug is probably off the air intake tempsensor. But maybe someone broke off one of it's two terminals and destroyed it. Matters not. When broke it defaults to a normal operating engine air temp.

TPS is problably out of adjustment. See the same manual on HOW TO.

Full range TPS is used for the operation of the OMP. Narrow range is for fuel cut during deceleration and control of the relief and switching solenoids for emissions during normal driving.

Hey i checked my Air temp sensor in my intake and it looks connected, the problem is that the error says its an Tem sensor inside the engine?
