weird clutch problem
originally was running fine then developed a slave leak, so i swapped out it the master and installed a SS line.
i have removed the entire clutch hydro system from the car and bled it so i know there is NO air in the system so that is not a possibility. however now i cannot get it to go into gear when the engine is running, other then the clutch hydro system nothing was remover or otherwise touched, some one had said that my throwout bearing was bad but how can that happen if it worked fine right before i remover the hydro components? |
Can you physically see the slave cylinder moving the clutchfork?
|
if you can physically see everything move and work, then you have to adjust your clutch pedal.
|
yes i can see it move the fork and i have already adjusted the pedal out till i totally unthreaded it from the clutch pedal
this thing is pissing me off i cant think of anything else that could have happened to it any other ideas? |
If you have a TII, they must have givin you an N/A or the other way around.
|
how much of a difference is there between the na and turbo slaves? it is something visible or what?
|
Well, from my experience. It was a little tricky installing the N/A on. After finding out it was from an N/A. I purchased the TII Slave from Mazdatrix and it bolted soo much easier.
|
i have an S4 NA, i had to special order the NA slave, if i had gotten the TII slave would it still work?
Im going to drop the tranny this weekend to change the clutch, so that will make sure the fork and other stuff in the bell housing did not go to shit on me... |
UPDATE
swapped out the clutch last Saturday, and when i removed the pressure plate three 2.5 inch strips of clutch disk fell out. apparently when i removed the slave before, it must have remove any pressure that was holding those in place and they jammed in between what was remaining of the clutch and the flywheel. now all i got to do is an alignment and it will be road worthy WOOT |
