Weather strip clips/door strip clips/spoiler clips
 

Does anyone know where you can find the clips that hold the outer window weather strip, It's impossible to get the off without breaking them.
How about the clips that hold the spoiler to the body and finally what kind of material is the sticky stuff that holds on the plastic strips that go around the body.

would like to know where to get clips for the spoiler too and as for the side molding, I used a clear adhesive meant for weather strips and emblems holds real well, or you can use double sided tape.

The bodyside moldings are attached with double-sided tape. One of the best ones you can buy is 3M Weatherstrip Tape, available at any decent auto parts store. Make sure you remove all the old adhesive before putting the new stuff on. Some people recommend rubbing alcohol, but I think mineral spirits (paint thinner) works much faster and is more effective. Be careful though because the vapors are highly flammable.

I thought for the side windows, the exterior weatherstripping clips were built into the weatherstripping and could not be replaced separately, but I may be wrong.

As for the spoilers, the part needed by kborro01 is most likely the white clips in the rear corners of the spoiler that almost always break when you remove the S5-style (or '88 GTU/TII) spoiler for any reason. They twist into a metal collar in the corners of the spoiler itself then the barbed end snaps into a hole in the body. Last I checked, Mazda still stocked these. I think they run about $3 each which isn't cheap, but there isn't a good universal parts-store substitute for them. The Mazda part number is FC17-51-968. (See attached thumbnail photos.) There are also some Phillips screws in the front corners of the spoiler, and I think four studs in the spoiler that are retained by 10 mm nuts, but that stuff rarely breaks.

GuiltySoul, the hardware needed for the S4 "Duckbill" spoiler would be something altogether different. I have no experience with that spoiler so I can't offer any suggestions.

GuiltySoul, I just mentioned the Duckbill because you have an '87 GXL. I prefer the S5-style spoiler myself as well.

Somebody mentioned that Atkins has them but they're $134 for the pair, so Mazdatrix would be cheaper. Might also want to give Malloy Mazda a call to check their price.

No dealer is going to stock much of anything for these cars anymore, but should be able to order them for you. Might take a few days for them to come in.
