Water Thermo Sensor

Where is located? I checked the haynes manual and it doesn't show but is listed in the troubleshooting list, now i'm still having some backfires and sputtering issues even tho 1987rx7guy and I changed the afm, the problem was gone but the car accelarates poorly and today start to do it again the sputterung even tho is not that often like when i had the old afm, anyway santiago checked the led's codes and it came up to the afm and water thermo sensor were bad, i looked at the manual again and the symptons that the manual mention are basically the same that i have, so does anybody know where's is located and where can i get one and how much are they??
Thx
MAX

Water thermo sensor is behind the pump below the alternator. It's connected via green connector, same type as the bAC and injectors. If that is bad, it will cause all sorts of problems. Check to see if the prongs hasn't pulled out of the harness.

Gotta love this club, all the problem was reduced to a snigle loose cable  the plug of the WTS was kind of loose, i just plug it back in start the car and it starts to idle great!

Hey maury!

Good to hear it was just a loose connector.

Did you talk to your brother about the TII?

Bumping an old thread, I can't for the life of me find the damn sensor. I replaced my spark plugs/wires a few days ago, it drove fine, then the next day it starts like shit and I have to mash the gas pedal to get it to run.
I've determined from the millions of threads Hailers posted in that it is indeed a problem with the water thermo sensor, but I can't find it. I've searched for pics or any more detail of where it is under the alt, behind the water pump housing.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
