ok... one of two male bullet connectors of the water temp switch is broken.. could that make your add coolant buzzer go off? I searched the part in autozone, kragen, pepboys etc... they dont seem to have that part... heres the one from autozone http://www.autozone.com/R,APP266137/...ductDetail.htm it looks pretty much the same but with only one male connector...do guys know where i can find one?

The item in your link looks exactly like the water temp gauge sender near the oil pressure sender on the driver's side of the rear housing.

The one you broke that has two bullet connectors is indeed a water temp. switch, and used for emissions by the secondary air injection (air pump, ACV, etc.) system, and to tell the computer the coolant is less than 14-19 degrees celcius (roughly), at which point you have continuity.

The coolant level switch looks completely different (wire with a bullet connector at the end, etc.). If your buzzer is sounding, the broken tab you mentioned is not the reason.

are you low on coolant? that could make the coolant buzzer go off

The buzzer and coolant light go off if there's not enough water in the RADIATOR HEADER.

If you remove that single wire off the sender on top of the radiator, the buzzer WILL go off with in twenty seconds or so. IF you ground that single wire the buzzer will stop buzzing, the car will overheat and you can buy that used YUGO you always wanted.

ye i checked the coolant and its full and so as the coolant reservoir and the needle on my cluster is on 1/4 which is in normal range... so since the water temp switch is not the cause for the warning buzzer to go off could it be just an air bubble in the cooling system? i havent tried bleeding it yet. ill try to bleed it and hopefully itll be gone. Is there also any suggestions i should check that could cause that buzzing sound?? thanks for the replies tho

Yes. The filler neck on the thermostat housing can be topped off and you can still have a bubble of air in the top of the radiator tank. That's why they put a bleed screw on the right side of the series four radiator. Series five I know not about.

so i got a chance to bled up my cooling system...its gotten better now...the buzzer dont go off now...thnks again for the replies
