WARNING about GREX piece

whats up guys,

i assume i would have heard about this if it happened to anyone else but i'll share anyway...i had an overheating problem the other week. temp got 1/2 way up and the coolant was gushing outta the radiator cap. anyway, after a cool down i found water leaking out of the water pump and heard the bearings soon after. after a quick fix with a new pump and belts for the underdrive pulley it drove great but after about 30 minutes o driving it heated up again!! same thing, water outta the rad cap (which was also replaced). so, i noticed the cap kept loosening and i thought the waterneck-top could be warped so i called the dealer and ordered a new one, coming tomorrow. what ACTUALLY is wrong is my strut bar...my boss at Z-1 performance noticed the bar was close to the cap and we pulled the e-brake with the car on and let off the clutch in gear...whattya know, the movment of the motor rubs the bar and loosens the cap making it impossible to hold built up pressure and overheat after a while. after thinking for a second i realized NA FC's were never made in Japan and so the water neck is probably in a different position on a TurboII. The bar went out to our metals guy today for a little 1/8th inch lift on either side. Strange right??????
Anyone else thinkin about getting the bar, it is a nice piece...but beware of this problem on an NA and the soft soft soft bolts the bar comes with. they should be swapped to brass/aluminum.

I like my Mazdatrix bar, I can bolt my engine to it. :)

I have the grex bar and have had no problems but I also have an '89 so I don't have a cap At the water pump only on the radiator so that could be why I haven't had any problems.
