'vert wheels

I have an 87 GXL, and I was wondering how much I could get some of the 'vert wheels for, and if they would fit and be the same aspect ratio, rotor clearence, and what-not. Also, I have some 205-60-15 Yokohama AVS ES100's, and would thos fit?

They sell for like 250 bux a set on ebay. A guy around the forum might be selling them soon but I forgot his ID.

I got mine for $300 shipped, in mint condition. I absolutely love them.. :D Yes everything fits just fine.

Also, I have seen them go for as cheap as $100/set. I was just willing to pay more to have a near perfect set..

damn, your car looks great with those wheels, can't wait to get a set for mine.

Thanks, it needs lowered pretty badly to take care of that wheel gap, but other than that I think it looks good.

afro thunder 04-29-03 04:51 PM

how did it look with the wheel gap? is it the same as stock, or is it bigger with the new wheels? also, where did you get them, is there anywhere in the southeast that you would recomend?

Icemark 04-29-03 04:56 PM

The 'vert uses the same size tires stock as the GXL (205/60-15), so the gap would be the same. The 'vert wheels are just a 1/2 inch wider.

However if you go to a 225/50-15 then the gap will increase.

.

Really?? I didnt know that the wheels were any wider that any other 15" FC wheel. So they are 15x7 ?

afro thunder 04-29-03 06:50 PM

where did you get your wheels at, so you know of any places in Florida to get them? also, was the height the same as stock, or are they lower/higher than GXL rims?

Rxmfn7 04-29-03 06:55 PM

The wheels are exactly the same as GXL wheels (unless they are slightyl wider as ICEMARK says) but that has no bearing on anything really. They are the same 15" wheel, just lighter and better looking ;) Put up a thread in the 2nd gen for sale section, there are usually more than a few people selling a set. Try Ebay also.

the Vert wheels weigh 11.5 lbs. each i believe the baloney slicers are like 16

rotaryrex7 04-29-03 09:11 PM

I think they look great too

88 GXL

Icemark 04-29-03 09:14 PM

as mentioned above, the 'vert wheels are 15x6.5" while the standard Sport/GXL/GTU wheels were are 15x6"

Rxmfn7 04-29-03 09:16 PM

Ok, i did not know that.. Sweet i can fit a wider tire on now :D:
