VDI and AUX port electric pump: which to use

what am I looking for for an electric air pump to be used to supply the 3psi to open the VDI and AUX intake ports on my s5?

is there some kind of junk yard special I could check out? or some should I go buy one of those 20 dollar tire infaltor pumps from wal-mart?

Ive found the RPM switch from summit racing, so the pump is all I really need now.

and jsut as a side note....
im currently rebuilding my engine and will be removing the ACV and replacing it with a block off plate.

with this gone, can I simply hook the output on the pum to the 3 vacuum hsoes coming from the two pump actuators and the VDI? meaning at 3800 rpm the pump will supply 3psi to these three hoses, causing all the ports to open. right...!?

and holy cow.. looking now in the FSM I see a part that I never knew existed: the 6port solenoid.

Ive heard before that the 6ports were activated electronically, but Ive never known how.

could this solenoid replace the 50 dollar rpm switch? ie... if I supplied constant pressure from a small pump, would this be opened by the ecu at the proper rpm? and could I then supply the air to the 6ports and VDI?

I use a Ford FD1062 lumbar pump for mine. It's perfect for the job. Unfortunately the guy that sold them on ebay doesn't sell them anymore so you'll really have to look hard to find one.

where exactly is that solenoid located? is it in by the ACV?
