Value of original 10AE wheels?

So I sold my 10AE and the new owner didn't want to bother shipping the original wheels. The original gatorbacks were replaced ~ 10 years ago (18k miles) and then I switched to aftermarket wheels shortly after. It's kind of hard to place a value on these since I never see any for sale. These wheels still have all of the original paint dots and markings. I suppose someone who is going for an ultra original 10AE would certainly require these wheels. Any thoughts on how much they are worth?

Whenever I've seen them for sale it's usually in the realm of $400 shipped. The wheels off my 10ae were missing early on, I never had the desire to track down a set. Only a purist is going to be interested at that kind of price.

yeah, might as well ask what the price of scrap metal is these days...

I'd hang on to them myself - if the car is in good condition, they might add value to it if you sell at some point. Beyond that, getting much more than scrap price for them would take finding the right buyer. I'd guess they're pretty low value these days. Probably on a par with vert BBS rims - I paid about $200 shipped for a set of the vert rims about 9 years ago - mind, that price was about 1/3 shipping, from Georgia to Alberta, Canada. But I've a seen a few sets given away more recently. I took a set of MX-6 aluminum rims I had given to me in 2yrs ago in for scrap to a metal dealer and got about $50 for them. When you can get a decent set of 16 or 17s new on TireRack for $500, it really devalues older rims.

i had some paint missing off of 3 of my 4, so i let them goto the scrap. i don't regret it. you could just powder coat turbo wheels if they mean that much to someone... however if you had the last set and a really anal purist...

Hmm, yeah I'll probably just ebay them and see how it goes. I guess if you want the true white you either have to get some painted or buy these. Probably right at about $100-150 per wheel.
