vac., boost? wheres it at?

s4 TII swap running after swap but I cant read any vac or boost. Tried two different gauges and they dont seem to see anything. I revved up and was able to see the waste gate move but can read anything. I read 30% afm on the safc without the turbo and 40-45% with the turbo hooked up. Any ideas? It seems i should see some vac or boost.

Are you sure that your vac line for the gague is hooked into a vacuum source?

Tell us where it's connected to. We can't help you without the info...

nipple located on the back of the manifold facing up, nipple on the passenger side facing the passenger front strut, and nipple on the rear after the TB facing the firewall. tried all these with no luck. yet the car idles right. I know this is a stupid thread, if it idles there is a vac but i dont get what im missing?

The one on the rear side of the TB reads from in front of the throttle.
The other two should both be good for MAP.

ya i have everything after the TB. Also at idle about 36 psi fuel is ok but when i give it gas it doesnt go up. This would alos indicate the fpr is not seeing boost as well correct?

The nipple sticking straight up on the back of the intake manifold is for the Air Supply Valve and won't show much of anything unless the valve is activated.

On the right hand side of the intake manifold, right at where the upper and lower manifolds mate, there is a nipple sticking straight out towards the right fender. Its close to one of the nuts that hold the upper manifold on. Connect to that one which usually goes to the BOV. So make a tee off that line for both.

The boost sensor should be connected to the nipple on the ACV. IF you have a blockoff plate, then install a nipple on that blockoff plate that will feed from the intake just like the original ACV did, and attach a line to it and the other end of that line to the boost sensor.

On the REAR of the intake manifole there are four nipples one above the other. If you connect a boost gauge to the very bottom one it should read vacuum and boost from there. The other three are not desireable for this application.
