Use Too Much Premix, Now Car Won't Start
I used too much oil in the premix by accident and now
the car won't start is there anyway to fix this? would putting more gas to even it out help? |
How much oil did you put in by the way?
|
shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
freaken guy:wallbash: followed the stuff on the back of the container |
Idk but if your 100% sure its cus you put too much oil I'd say try crank it a few times on pure gas or put in a more diluted pre mix solution until she starts and go back to your original mix.

Take your plugs out and clean them up! I find when I premix a 1:100 I on occasion over-mix it. I've had my engine run on one plug for a few moments at start-up because of there being too much oil collected on the plug. cleaned it up and it's been fin since.

even if its like 25:1 ratio?
|
Well how much gas was in the tank already and how much did you fill it up? Where you premixing prior to this? Do you have a full tank now?

^^^I told him to FILL IT ALL the way up with PURE GAS to dilute whatever oil that was put in there. (By the way, his car is an 86' FC N/A with OMP blocked off.) The same concept with a Bushcutter, if there's too much oil in the premix, it won't run...

why don't you just pull the plug on the gas tank so to speak? There is a small bolt at the bottom of the gas tank so you can drain it. This way you don't have to worry about anything other than what might be in the gas lines.
