update on interior
 

well i finally got my car back from the upholestry shop. They did a all new carpet in tweed. i think it looks pretty goood and for a resonable price too. 300$ all thats left is the right door panel and back and flor mats and i'm set.

The carpet is really nice too.

I just hope you can keep it that clean.. Tan carpeting stains very quickly. Looks nice though. Any pics of the hatch/storage bin area?

the hatch is still in progress. i think i'm not going to cover the rear bins cases and just paint them black. the rear sides are done though.

i'm going to scotch guard every peice of fabric after its all in so that should keep it pretty clean.

looks nice :bigthumb: i have to agree with Rxmfn7 tho tan stains quickly ive seen it first hand with my dads 02 passat. thats why i went with black/red leather with my interior. looks good tho...props to you for making your fc look nice :)

I dunno if i like the color specifically, it makes it look too much like a fiero interior, but thats just my taste. Overall it looks like they did a very nice job though. Especially for $300.

So they are just ebay cheepes?? If not what brand are they ?? I am thinking about getting the pep boys leather seats myself

there just universal ebay seats. there suppost to be recaro style. i have another pair if anyone is interested. their lancer style race seats

I love the seats, everything else looks AWESOME; good job!

Looks amazing, but all I can think about is the first time I spill a drop of oil on it or something I'm gonna be crying.

did u have to buy different track bars for those seats or did you just use ur stock ones? those seat would look cool black with like red in the middle!! links to seats on ebay would be nice!!

thanks for all the complements. it's been a long project. for the seats i screwed 2 one foot by one inch bars of steal to the original brackets. try searching for xrteam on ebay. once i get my roll bar and rear strut bar, it shall basicaly be complete.

j200pruf: i dont know if i talked to you about doing an interior in tweed but if you need any help just pm me. that porshe interior does look pretty close to what i did. heres one more pic with the door done.

I have a set of recaros outa of an evo and was thinking along the lines you have gone. I may just have to get all the fabric to match the black and blue. I dont like the tan much, but that looks really nice.

um....just a suggestion but your interior would look a lot better if you where to get another steering wheel.

your steering wheel = eye sore

or at least wrap it

tan leather FD seats....your car is begging for them.

Did you resprayed your dashboards? If so. How did you go bout it?

yes, i repainted the dash. basically i just took it out, cleaned very well and applied a couple coats of vinyl spray then a clear coat and another vinyl coat

if you want info on the seats just pm me. i did all of the interior myself but the carpet. i had clydes' auto upholstry do the carpet.

How durable is that vinyl spray paint job? Especially on the driver side door handle, it seems like normal wear and tear would rub off the paint.

Not really my taste at the moment, but it's starting to grow on me.

ya the vinyl paint will work for now, but as time goes on i know it'll rub off so this is just temporary till i find the black peices.
