Under power question???

So I picked this up today:
Attachment 286320 and this is my problem. I test drove it last week and made an offer to the guy. To make a long story short, he finally accepted. On the initial test drive I did not feel anything too out the ordinary for a 20 year old car. I drove it home an hour today. My problem: When I step on the accelerator, the rear end of the car shifts to right until I left off to cruise. My friend that drove down with me said he did not think it was as bad as I think it is. It seems to shift quite a bit.:Wconfused What do you think it is? My first guess would be some seriously old differential bushings as well as the rest of the bushings causing some axle twist. It does have the old "adjustable" suspension but I doubt that it works. Thanks. |
It could be your axle, or maybe your alignment is off... I can't be sure though I'm not an expert on things like this...

You most likely have worn bushings in the rear control arm(s). When you put it under load it is steering the car.
