under-hood smoking
A coolant hose popped on me two days ago (nevermind how). I reattached it and refilled the car with coolant and have been taking it easy, but theres still smoke coming from under the hood! Its coming from the back of the engine bay, and it looks like its coming off of the exhaust pipes. Could this still be coolant evaporating?? its been two days!

Have you re-checked for any leaks? The coolant leaks/spills I have had in the past would not smoke after 2days of driving.

driveway under the car is dry as a bone. i dont drive it a lot, just once a day to/from work.

Coolant takes forever to dry up. It's probably burning coolant. It can also be in the transmission bellhousing and clutch area which will take even longer to dry.
What does the smoke smell like? |
