2nd Gen electric's

If that is all that's playing up on your second Gen be happy. The early 2nd's have very shoddy circut boards in them that control all of the electric's. Wipers, logicon, clock display unit, there all average. I've pulled the clock unit apart and resoldered everything inside and now it's as new, but my logicon (heater controller), was a different story, 2 electrical engineers spent 2 days getting in and out of the car (lucky for me there family), resoldering and it was still misbehaving, so I got a series 5 unit from a wrecker for $200 AUD, and it's fine.

The wipers are slightly more difficult again, hence the reason mine ain;t playing along. You have to remove the sorround from the dash an de-solder the wiper mechanism (not easy), then go over it's circut board with a soldering iron (fun).

Mine works after i've hit a pot-hole or something, but then it'll just stop for no reason. The rear is worse :)

Look on the web for a fix page for it, i've plenty of straight forward instructions.
