Two silly questions! MOP blockoff and S4 2nd air bleed socket!
I am sorry to post this here but K2rd is down and I need a MOP block off plate! I posted in the want ads to no avail. Does anyone have one!? I've got money man!
And! Does the S4 Turbo have a secondary air bleed socket!? I can't find it and I don't wanna screw up my car! Thanx! |
If you can't find a block off plate, just make one.
The secondary injector air bleed is the green line in the attached pic. https://www.rx7club.com/forum/attach...chmentid=66626 |

This is my current set up before everything goes back together. Can anyone tell me where the 2nd air bleed is?
|
You can remove that cold start thing, it is junk. I can't remember what I did with mine, if anything. The pic that I posted appears to be an S5 since there is a nipple on the inside front secondary injector and two nipples on the rear secondary injector, I don't remember my AE looking like that.

Cool... I took it off earlier, there is a little tiny hole underneath it.. I wonder if I could JB weld it closed or something. That's assuming I don't need it for any air purposes of course.
|
Yep, JB weld that hole shut. Mazda released a service bulletin to have the cold start system removed since it didn't work right. I'm going to be in the garage for a bit, I'll pull off my UIM and see what I did with my vac routing.
|
Okay, so is it safe to assume my car doesnt have the 2nd air bleeds?
Ps mine car is a 10th also. |
I know we have the air bleeds, but I don't know if there is a air source to them. Mazdatrix sells the secondary air bleeds for S4's.
|
Hmmm.... Thats an interesting thought... Crap... Now what to do...
|
Well so I can for sure weld it shut?! *Gulp* I always get nervous about those things...

For block off plates www.2751engineering.com they are a k2rd vendor and are getting a shipment this Sunday. I spoke to Seth the owner.

Ride on! Thanx! I called him and left a message. Still wondering about the Secondary air bleed guys. Check my pic.

It's the brownish plastic "insert" in the secondary fuel injector holes. If you didn't have them, your secondary fuel injectors would not seat snugly into the holes. This doesn't mean they are still intact and in good shape. You'll need to remove them to inspect them. Sometimes they crack. Realistically, you don't really need them, so I wouldn't worry about them for now. -Ted |
Thank you Ted! That's some good news, even though my car won't start for some reason...
