Turbos for NAs
 

I am in the process of gather parts for my winter project with is turboing my 6 port NA. I am down to turbocharger selection rite now. Crazy T-04 turbos will never happen due to high CFM and will blow the motor, so I am thinking of small turbos. Spools fast in the low end with a bit of high end.

Stock TII turbos have been use by Aaron Cake and Bambam7, but I want to try something different, I want to try twin turbo. I was thinking of using 2 mitsubisi turbos from the old turbo caravans (small mofos) and fitting them so that each housing spools it's own turbo. Also, since the stock AFM is quite restrictive, I was thinking of building a circuit so that each turbo will have it's own AFM, hook them up in parallel or something....

Anyone know anything about the mitsu turbos? They look really small, like the FD turbos. Think it'll work?

good luck. You will have a LOT of custom fabrication to do. What about a norton designs T28/T3 hybrid. They're fairly small turbo's

Has anyone heard what kind of hp Aaron is putting out yet? I am really curious to hear what a turboed N/A motor can make.

pd_day: Personally, I don't see the point of two turbos. It's much more complicated, heavier, and really unnecessary. If you really want to, you can run a TO4. No reason why you couldn't. There are many advantages over the stock turbo, not the least of which is a much better wastegate.

As far as two AFMs go, don't waste your time. The stock AFM doesn't become a restriction until around 400 HP, at which point you'd be going to a standalone EMS anyway, so it wouldn't matter.

Ardent_Psyclone: I will be getting some dyno numbers and 1/4 mile times after I install a new full 3" exhaust...A month or so.
