Are turbo shifters and N/a shifters interchangeable?

i have a short throw shifter on my turbo tranny and hate it and i have a n/a shifter and i tried swaping them and it didnt seem to work...

They should swap out just fine... My jspec tranny had a turbo shifter set up for driving on the right and it swapped out with the N/A left hand side shifter just fine.

The short throw will have a spacer, you will need to remove that to get the n/a shifter to work.
