Turbo recommendations
 

I am getting ready to upgrade my s4 tii turbo. anyone have any recommendations on which to go with. The ones I've been thinking bout after doing a little research is gt35,t4, or bnr. Mainly the car will be a weekend cruising car . Maybe a few drift events. Also recommendations for injectors as well. Im shooting for about 350hp. I'll be using a Haltech ps1000 as ems. With supporting mods. For whatever turbo I get. Thanks in advance. Hope I provided enough info

I got a bnr stage 2 with 720 primaries and 1200 secondaries 2.5" exhaust and a large front mount intercooler making 308 hp and 276 torque. I went with a stage 2 because I didn't want ridiculous spool up. I'm more into twisty roads than drifting though. I really wish I'd got injector dynamics injectors, there is a noticeable effect when the secondaries kick in that would probably not be an issue if I'd spent a little extra for ID's.

My current mOds are. Walbro, fmic, bov, Apexi gt spec turbo back exhaust, Haltech ps1000, removed emmissions, I was actually thinking about bnr stg 2. How you like it. I also was thinking gt35. I'll do more twisty roads than drift but I want a turbo that can be efficient at both.

350 at the wheels or flywheel? A BNR stage 4 minimum if you want 350 at the rear wheels.

Yes at the wheels. Any cons to the bnr turbos. I know a big plus is basically direct bolt on. I'm ok with buying a good turbo and manifold as long as results are there in the end. I'd be ok with 300 but really want 350hp.

It won't be as responsive or have as solid of boost control compared to a good manifold and turbo setup.

A t04E or t04S would be perfect for what you want. 35R is great...but expensive.

My tuner didn't want to set up anti lag or launch control because of concerns about the lifespan of the BNR if these features were enabled. I love the way it spools up, won't shoot you off the road if you hit it hard in a corner. On the other hand I'll probably go with a full ball bearing turbo next time I need a re-build.

If you can afford it. Go custom manifold/turbo with proper external wastegate(s)

^ I agree with that. A hybrid is good, but think about how old the thing is by now. Mine has gone through so much that there's a significant exhaust leak around the wastegate actuator rod.

If you can afford it, that is. I'm just going to have to save my pennies and deal with exhaust leaks until then. :lol:

I think I'm going to go with the 35r from eBay.

Haha jk. I am doing the 35r but a good one with a nice manifold.
