turbo heat shield installation

I read the thread about turbo heat shields a while back and how improtant they are. I bought some and they just came in the mail.

I was wondering if I would be able to install them with out taking off the turbo.

Has anyone done this before?

Tim

All I can tell you is that it is a bitch!
We just cut my friend's heat shield off after trying for too long. Good luck

Well i won't have to cut any off because there is none on right now, and I don't think any of the bolts had rusted out before.

Anyone eles?

Tim

silverrotor, did you go ahead and put them on, did you have to take off the turbo?

I had to take the turbo off.

The shield that is in between the turbo and the engine requires removal of the turbo.

I plan on putting them on when I put my Motor back In. This In conjunction with a heat wrap down the Down Pipe. Heat Is the enemy!
