turbo coolant feed (odd question)

hey, i have a kinda weird question. Im boosting a 6port block with the parts from by blown turbo motor. Don't give me a bunch of bs...i know its wrong and its getto...

Im using the turbo manifold (I port matched everything including the block). Theres pics on another thread. For the coolant feed to the turbo...I drilled the plug that blocks the passage that would normally allow water to flow through the LIM on the turbo motor. You know, one of the 2 that are blocked off behind the LIM on a 6port block. This way i can use the stock coolant feed line and not work about tapping coolant from the BAC.

What do you guys think about this? Any reasons it wont work...?

Thanks for the help,
Ryan

um, how are you going to put the manifold on?? Won't it cover the hole??
I just bought a tee connector and teed off the heater hose right where it meets the lower rad hose. Easy as pie.

if you look on a 4port block, there is a coolant passage behind the LIM that supplys coolant to the turbo. It flows out of the block, through the LIM, into the feed hose to the turbo, then through the turbo and back into the block through the water pump housing.

On a 6port block its blocked off so I drilled the plug that was used. I was just concerned that it would be taking coolant away from something...i really don't know. I just felt kinda weird drilling holes in my block.

Taping the heater hose would ahve been easier...o well, too late now :o(

aaron- ive seen it. Its a nice writup but it doesn't do me any good. Did you even read my post? I know how to tap the heater hoses and the oil cooler for the turbo. I'm using the turbo lim and was wondering is drilling the coolant passage where I described will have any negative effects on the motor...?
