Turbo-Back Exhausts... too loud?

Hey All,

For all ye running the Racing Beat turbo-back exhaust....
Is this system very loud? How much louder is it relative to a cat-back system?

I don't know the exact answer to your question, but keep this in mind: A turbocharger acts as a muffler to begin with. I dropped my damn muffler on the interstate in my volvo and the sound wasn't too bad at all (heh, I kinda liked it, but the 'rents made me put one back on). You'll even have mufflers.

Also, it's gonna be a helluva lot quieter than an N/A with comparable exhaust.

you mean how much louder will it be over the stock cats with a different cat back? well it'll be louder. but it will give hudge power gains, where as a cat back won't do anything. the full RB exhuast isn't that loud.

RB I believe has one of the quietest (catless) systems around. My friend has a similar one on his Protege MP3, and I think it sounds nice. Not too loud at all.

its nice, sounds stock on idle but when opened up roars like a champ, best investment on my car yet

The RB exhaust sounds incredible at WOT and is hardly audible at idle...the perfect system for most people, IMO.

I think the Racing Beat system sounds too tinny personally. I do agree that it is definitely one of the quietest sytems available though.
