Tuning Car for Autocross/Drift (flamesuit on)
3 Attachment(s)
OK, after several months of attempting to sell my Turbo Vert I have decided that it is worth more to me to keep it. So I am. I am going to set it up to swap between Autocross and drift events here locally.
The current setup is as follows: Racing beat springs and anti-sway bars Megan Racing Strut tower bars S5 turbo and wastegate (retained the 6 port motor) Racing beat downpipe HKS BOV w/ custom uppipe Stock IC Stock T2 manifolds w/ port match modification T2 fuel pump T2 injectors T2 ECU and MAF T2 CAS s5 t2 Front cover My main question is how/what should I do to the suspension to keep it competitive on both circuts? I am looking at 5 way adjustable Tokico Ulluminas and perhaps some camber plates. Any ideas?? Attached are the pictures of the car.... Anyways thanks for the help. |
coilovers FTW!!

I agree, you can't beat the many setups coilovers offer. Also they allow you to adjust corner weighting, and are most likely much stiffer than other springs.

Brands that are "inexpensive" would be good to know.. Someone offered "Megan" as an affordable alternative...

Not related to your suspension question- but when I talked with several friends who auto/rallycross around here about the possibilities of running my 'vert (when I get it running -_-;; ) they said I'd almost certainly have to have a rollbar installed to be able to run with the a convertible (even if our tops- when up- should provide sufficient protection).

vert is a bad choice for that sort of thing, given its heavier curb weight and less body rigidity :[

Nope not here in Nashville Anyway... I've run my Vert without a bar. OH BTW there is a member on here that is fabbing up a bar using my vert as a guinee pig.. DJMTSU he is local to me..
