Look up.

rx7store.net

They make a PROlite 9lb aluminum, and a STREETlite 12.5lb light steel. Both are top notch parts. They do require the use of an automatic rear counterweight to bolt to the engine.

vicious525E 01-26-05 12:09 PM

cool, thats the one i was looking for, i dont need the counter weight because i have the one thats on my motor from the old auto transmition.

RotaryResurrection 01-26-05 12:13 PM

Never heard of a 9lb steel flywheel...but I'll take your word for it, having only dealt with the streetlite.

"9.5lb aluminum Flywheel"

The streetlite is steel.

vicious525E 01-26-05 12:52 PM

nevermind

The pic that RX7store has isn't even the ACT flywheel, it is the RB flywheel. The Prolite and Streetlite are both steel.

http://www.speedmachineperformance.c...l?v=1&pid=3741 has the correct info. vicious525E is correct. I sell these alot, and install them alot.

I will also add that I had to cancel my order from the RX7store because they just took way to long. Then I placed my order at Speedmachine, I got the 6-puck clutch, heavy duty pp. and the prolite flywheel along with the throw out bearing and the pilot bearing.

I was also suppose to get the alignment tool but did not receive it.
Also the kit did not come with a pilot bearing seal which I though was just weird to offer a kit with the pilot bearing a not include the proper seal.

When I called Speedmachine to tell them I didn't get the alignment tool, they offered to send me 1 but then they told me I could get 1 for like $2.00 from a parts store. So instead of waiting to get 1 from them I just bought 1.

I bought the pilot seal from Mazdatrix.........screwed up trying to install it.
Ordered 2 more and had them sent overnight......got it on the first try.
Now I have an extra.

That's not SMP's fault. I've ordered two ACT kits and they've never come with a pilot bearing seal.

Sorry I worded that bad.
I know the "kit" doesn't come with it. What I'm saying is it should.

But the "kit" is suppose to have the alignment tool.

so has anyone else had bad experence dealing with rx7store.net? i'd like to order the prolite from them mainly for the fact that you can specify wether you want the counter weight or not, since my motor came out of an automatic.

my j-spec was also from an auto. car.
The flywheel I ordered from SMP did not com with the counter weight.
I don't remember what I paid but from the looks of these 2 web sites RX7 Store has a much better price......that is if it is correct because they can't even show the correct picture.

Good Luck

I just ordered a set of brake pads from them. I would recommend calling them to place your order, speak with someone there, get a name of the person you talked to (hopefully you talk to jason because he's the only one that actually gets orders put through over there). I put my order through, saw my card didn't get charged, called, and Jason overnighted me the pads, refunded my shipping amount and got the shit done. So they do care, just not sure why they don't get it right the first time. Overall, I'm happy with it as, my order wasn't time sensitive.

If you do order the flywheel, make sure you get the screws for the counterweight from them as well.

Good Luck

It's 344 w/counterweight from rx7store and 349 from SMP, both good prices, both include counterweight, I know rx7store also includes the screws for the counterweight, dunno if SMP does.

I just bought my act ss clutch kit and streetlite flywheel from rx7store and it all arrived within a week. Always call, and be clear that you need to verify that the parts are IN STOCK AND WILL SHIP IMMEDIATELY, and ARE NOT BACKORDERED. Then take that person's name, and give them your information to run the charge. I have never had a problem doing it this way...I've never had a problem with them at all.

Speaking of which does your buddy still want to sell that flywheel... Oakridge?

RotaryResurrection 01-26-05 07:51 PM

what flywheel? fd? I bought that core, so not sure which one you were talking about. BUt we can get one for you one way or another...

fc3s.org 01-26-05 10:49 PM

Not sure why ACT doesn't include the pilot bearing. They don't even sell pilot bearings. I checked to see if they had a listing.

For the record, our streetlite with cw is $339, not $349. I can also sell the flywheel without the cw. I have it listed that way because alot of people need both. I just changed the site to reflect the option to get the cw seperately. We do include the bolts with the cw though, since that is the way they come from ACT.

And on my previous post, I meant to say turbo80cid was correct that they were steel, not vicious525E. :D
