|

Yes I suppose it could be bad, if your gear oil in the shifter box is leaking out. Then it will cause your shifter booshing to wear faster (if they aren't already worn out). |
thats made out of the rubber stuff right? if so that is totally torn up... Yup, rubber it is, if it is torn up and your shifter bushings are worn out then it will most likely come out from around the shifter, but if the bushings are good, it could and probablt still will come out. |
so, i could buy a new bushing and a new shifter boot? i think it could use a new bushing anyways... i can get that.
|
Yes, and you can buy a new short shifter from mazdatrix and it comes withe everything that you would need, or you can just buy the bushings (2), and the inner shifter boot. There are two shifter boots, inner and outer. Here's a link to mazdatrix.
http://mazdatrix.com/g4.htm It's in there you have to look for it. |
i was thinking about getting a short shifter, but i was getting a full exhaust first. (headers and top speed cat back, presilencer). after that i will have a cone filter intake, exhaust, aux. ports removed.....and thats it.
i was wondering, how much weight would taking the power steering and ac...take out? i wanted to do that too. i do have a new clutch but its the standard one. i was also planning on buying half ass speakers...because the music i listen to doesnt need a sub woofer or anything like that. would this set up be pretty good for a 16 year old? what other suggestions for mods do you have? |
BESIDES A TUNE UP, i'll get one damn it
|
I have pulled the PS and A/C, but not really for wieght savings, I did it because 1 I think my PS pump was going out and 2 I wanted more room under the hood. But I would guess that it saved 100-150 pounds maybe 200 at the very most, but I don't think it was that much. And if you want a stereo system I have a very nice one FS, it has no subs but has a 500 wt amp running 4, 4 1/2 inch speakers, along with CD player, EQ, all the wiring and the rest of the stuff.
|
i do have a new clutch but its the standard one. Ohhh yeah and if it isn't broke don't fix it!!! And I'm 16 to :D |
dude, i have my clarion 6 disc (from the previous owners) and my stock front speakers, and new $50 6" speakers to listen to loud fast punk....thats all i need.
maybe a anything other than that would be usefull for 2 of my cds. but oh well. |
***i will get the 50$ speakers****
|
Dammnnn, can't sell that syste WTF.
|

|
75w90 Whattt, I have never seen 75w 90, did you mean 80w 90 :D , I'm just being nit picky. But yeah that stuff does stick very bad, and that smell will stay in your close for a long time before it ever washes out. |

Should have put some cat litter on it. Or you can probably go to lows or home depot and get some acid that block and brick massons use to do acid washes to houses, and it will probably take it up. But I'm not sure on that one.

actually ran outside barefoot for this! |
Huh never seen that stuff before.
|
I dunno, it works for rear ends. I don't know that its the stuff I would put in the trans though. Coincidentaly for those who haven't changed their rear end fluid, it does make a difference. Feels like the car his happier-- less fatiguied I guess. -- more of that Rx7 mentality of GO GO GO VROOOM VROOOM POP VROOOM VRVRVRROOM purr pop pop pop vroom pop pop oooomvvvvvvvvv
