tranny rebuild
 

hey all i am doing a 5 speed swap in my car and im almost done. but i was wanting to get the manual rebuild and get a new clutch,flywheel and pressureplate installed. so what i was wondering is what all would they replace as far as seals and bearings go if i had a shop do all the work? and about how much do you think it schould cost for the rebuild and to install new parts? a guy quoted me $900 just to open up the tranny already out of the car.....

also if it is possable to rebuild it myself what all would i need to get. i dont know if its worth the trobble but if it is i will do it.

what the hell are you talking about opening the tranny up? clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate all connect to the motor... as in before you put it in the car...
a rebuild i think we figured was about 550 or so... and a good clutch/flywheel/PP can easily run you 1K+ by itself...
