Thats pretty light weight oil for gear oil. Just get some redline MTL

Guys,

In addition to the '87 TII, I have a '96 Grand Cherokee and a '94 Honda Civic EX Coupe. The Honda uses the SAME oil in the gearbox (5 speed) as in the engine 10w30 motor oil. Weird but true.

What are you rebuilding? If it's a 7, I just looked in my shop manual this weekend when I filled mine and it called for an 80W. I used 75-90W Mobil1. Some boxes do use light weight engine oil. My friends turbo Omni runs 0-30W with great results.
