trailing coils to leading coils ...possible?
 

did a couple of quick searches and no luck .
I cant quite remember if it is possible to run a trailing coils set wired to the leading igniter to allow individual coils to each plug? just wondering.

Yes it is possible. The stock leading coil is really nothing more than a trailing coil with 2 posts. You could use 2 trailing coils only and run them through the leading ignitor and have them work just fine. This would retain wasted spark where they both fire together. However if you want the to fire independently of each other without wasted spark, you'll have to figure out how to wire the trailing ignitor in. You'd use the trailing setup and get rid of the leading completely. The trailing ignitor receives the same signal that the leadings do, albeit off by however many degrees the ecu is programmed for. This is your timing split. The signal is then redirected to the appropriate coil and alternates between them. BDC had a writeup on this a while back in the Haltech section. I don't remember it off of the top of my head but yes it can be done.

Yep. Check the Haltech section. There's a post about it in there entitled, "sequential leading spark with E6K!" or something to that effect. I documented it pretty exhaustively.
