TPS setup... using 2LED Method... wtf?

Hi guys!

So, i hate my IDLE and slowly also my 7en *mad*

today i wanted to setup my TPS with the 2 LED method using this writeup...
http://www.racingrotary.com/tps.htm

but what the f... ???? i can't find this 3 wire green plug! there is no ******* plug! nowhere! i've taken out the whole intake system and can't find this plug!

i drive an european RX7 FC3S TurboII S4 1987...

pls help me out, where is this ******* plug? :///

thx guys

The LED method works like crap, you need to break out your multimeter and read the ohms.

lol...

everyone says something different...

the 2LED method should be better because you set the TPS like your ECU "sees" it...

and, i don't want discuss this, i only want to know where this plug is located! ;)

The green plug is on the left side on a turboII. It has three sockets.

Ohms method sucks.

The two LED light method is second best.

Best is measuring pin 2G on a series four USA car or at the green/red wire of the TPS connector and setting the tps to read 1vdc on the meter WITH A RUNNING ENGINE FULLY HOT (ref Control Unit of the FSM).

Again, the plug on a USA turbo is on the left side of the engine bay near the lead coil/strut tower. If you don't find it, write back.

Just FYI: IF you have good hearing, you'll be able to hear the Switching and Relief solenoid clicking as you turn the tps screw. The LED's will come/go as you hear the clicking. Somehow I don't think Europeans have them.

hailers, maybe you can remember my IDLE problem... I've know displaced the bad Variable Resistor aaaaaaaaand.... the same shit like before :/ i'm so bored about the IDLE system :/

and know i wanted to check my TPS twice... i've set the TPS up with your method @ perfect 1Volt, the car suckz, so i've seted it up @ 1.1Volts which was a little bit better...

know i want to try the 2Led Method...

btw. left = co-drivers side? so left when i'm looking into my engine bay?

.......

i don't get rid of the IDLE problem...

BAC new, Variable Resistor new, TPS new, everything is working fine and Ohms are in Specs but the IDLE sucks again and again and again...

i've sprayed 2 full cans of Starter fluid EVERYWHERE in my engine bay and i havent find any leak... :((((

the next step i will do is to take down the UIM and replace every little vac line :/ i hate it!

I just had a hard time finding the conector on my junk '86 N/A. The conector was dirty and tucked under the boost/ pressure sensor. Here is a simple pic from the S5 turbo FSM...it's one of the three conectors circled, I believe...

Sorry. I got stupid for a moment. ON my USA turboii the green check connector is on or near the solenoids on the engine. Left side of the engine looking forwards.

It should have a black/white wire in the single socket sitting by itself, and a Blue/Yellow in one of the other and a Blue/Red in the last.

Series four turbo are different than series five n/a or series four n/a in that location.
