TPS adjustment, Round 2

Ok... FINALLY got the new TPS in the mail today. Before I installed it, I swapped on another TB i have because I suspected that several vacuum fittings were blocked with dirt (and was right). Put that on, and installed the new TPS. When I go to adjust the TPS, I can't... The screw tightens all the way, just as it makes contact with the TPS plunger. Not enough to adjust it (using 2 light method). For the hell of it, I tried to start it anyway, and the car revs to like 8k before I got scared and shut it off :Wconfused . Is there something on the backside of the TPS i need to adjust?

Ok I solved that problem... But my god, this car is just playing with my emotions. TPS is SET! Jumped the initial set coupler. I sat in the car and held kept it running while I had my sister turn the idle screw a half turn at a time. The screw eventually came all the way out of the throttle body, and never once came close to idling. Just dies as soon as I let off the gas. This is weird however... With the screw totally closed, the car still runs... That would suggest a vacuum leak somewhere right? I did not ever find a source of the leak if there is one. I'll check again of course, but is there anything else I can look at? I've tested just about every solenoid and sensor on the motor, all within specs.

how about a vacuum leak at the lower intake gasket?
