Towing a RX7
Hey guys,
I picked up a 87 RX7, and i tried searching to no avail, I was wondering What is the best way to tow this 140 miles, with a dolley? SHould I tow the front or the rear wheels?, disconnect the drive shaft?...etc help.. the car has sat for 3 years.... i need to get her home thanks a bunch |
if it's a manual transmission nose it onto the dolly and pull it in neutral.
if it's auto you will have to pull the driveshaft and seal up the tailshaft housing on the transmission, you would be better off using a flatbed if it is an auto. |
Yeah...as Karack stated.
I towed mine over 1200 miles with a dolly..rear wheels on the ground and a MT. |
Also, if it doesn’t run, make sure you have a means of putting it on the dolly. I suggest getting a come-along, otherwise you are going to need a lot of guys pushing.
