Too Warm in Car

Recently purchased 88 Vert. Seems that the heat raises from the engine compartment and drivetrain into the cabin of the car making it very warm. What is reccommended as insulation to cut down on the heat?
The heat is not coming from the heater vents. You can fell it coming up from areas like the gear shift.

make sure u have all heat shields in place, as well all boots under shifter cover....

if u could confirm heating up shifter/transmission, check what oil in transmission are you running and how old is it...

I just changed the gear oil, went with the 85-120 that I use in my FB. I just changed the clutch and think all the heat sheilds are there. I think????

There should be a complete set of aluminium heat sheilds over all the catalytic converters from the firewall to the y-pipe. These often go missing because hack-job mechanics seem to leave them off because they deem them unnecessary.

make your own custom heat shield rite under the shifter, that should solve your problem
