tire experience?

im looking for a good quality DD tire. top 3 priorities(in no order) are weight, grip, treadwear.
comfort and road noise are not really important to me.

anyone used BFG gforce sports? looking for actual useage opinions and details. so far, its between that and RE960AS pole positions for my DD tires this year.

otherwise list any other good tires you think i should get and why. ive heard that falken ziex 512s or 912s are a great bang for buck but i have no experience with them.

also, GY eagle GTs?

keep in mind they have to fit my stock 15x6 rims. 205/60/15 is my stock tire size

and they dont necessarily have to be killer in the snow, but i guess the more features, the better.

I have my 2nd set of the BFG G-Force sports. I love them. Stick real well when I need them to. Great wet traction. and have a great tread life. I have an 88 GXL with vert wheels. i put on 215/50R15. Definitely stiffer than the 60 series tires. You will have no problems with the 215/50R15 BFG G-Force Sport. Go with those. Great price on Tire Rack too.

Falken 512 Driver here..good Stickin tire.
although some guys complain about premature camber wear I rotate my tires every oil change..
I don't know about them in the snow though,as I store the car.

I got yokohama h4s, so far they grip good for dd use and occasionally fast cornering. they are on 16x8 wheels, tanabe springs and monroe shocks. I had an alignment done also. They are 3 weeks old so I don't know how the wear is.

So far so good. Hope this helps!

Hello, Fellow gforce sport user here. I run the stock tire size and i love the sports. I primarily got them because of the great reviews and correct V speed rating for the RX. You cant find many tires in the stock 205/60/15 size that are V rated, mostly H which may be fine if you dont like pushing hard in corners. The V rated makes a huge difference and I have H rated before these, huge difference and I have the stock suspension. I have about 15k miles on mine and still ride like new with minimal treadwear. I garage in the winter so can't help you there but the best bang for the buck for three season in my opinion if running stock size.

I'm running the Yokohama S-Drive on my daily driver 1989 GTUs. When I bought these, I put priority on wet/dry traction and treadlife. I'm starting my second season with these tires and I have to say that they stick well. Steering response is fantastic with no 'rolling'. At about ~$95 bucks a tire, they are also very affordable.
