tire: from 14" to 17"
 

i used wheel offset calculator provided in icemark's sticky faq, found out the clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 10mm LESS than what i have with 14" tire.

would offset needed to have proper clearence?

what size wheel/tire will u be running?

215/ 45 R17

what size wheel? offset?

ok, i'm really trying to help here.. but help me help u... the size of the tire doesn't mean anything right now... it all depends on the rim size and offset.... you can fit a 315/35/17 with the right offset wheel.... well maybe not that extreme, but maybe u get my point, or not... if i'm going to help i need to know what size wheel you're trying to run for fitment in the wheel well.... a 215/45 will fit, but it depends on the offset if it will hit the strut or not... or even if it will rub against the brake caliper... i was running 17x8 in the front and 17x9 in the rear with +15 offset... i've also run 17x9.5 +19 offset all the way around with no issues... bot were very flush fitting and imo looked really bitchin... so let me know the width/offset of your 17's and i'll tell u if they'll fit, or if the offset police will be coming after you...

the 17" rim has no offset, so does 14".

so you mean 0 offset, when u say no offset? there's no number printed on the inside of the rim? +? there's gotta be some type of offset do you have a pic of the wheels?

hey sorry for thread jacking, but i got a quick question... while we are here, i dont feel like making a new thread.

now the stock wheels of an 90 gtu is running 205/60r15? i think?

if i decide to put on my 16x8 bbs meshies (nice lip) at +25 offset (got it pretty cheap about 280..., 2 of them got MINOR dents on it took me about 2 minutes to see in on a balancer, i had to look pretty hard.... and all of them got light curb rash and scratches), does it clear on stock suspension? and on the tire, do i downsize to a 55 series or a 50 series, i am going to run 225/??/r16.. unless someone says that i should run 245 for a real good reason, to get normal accurate speedo readings? i had these bbs for my 240 but never got around to get a 5lug on (ie; only have rear 5 lug hubs...) it and just decide to keep it for the seven...

16x8+25 should be fine... you could run another 10-15mm spacer to make it really flush, but then you'd have to run a smaller tire to get it to stretch under the fender... sorry i'm all about flush fitment and stretching tires up in the fender wells... anyway, you'll want to run a 225/50/16 to have the correct speedo readings...
stock tire specs:
revs/mile: 817
225/50/16 specs:
revs/mile: 811

so you'll read a little faster than stock, but should be pretty close..

8" +25 will clear everything inside no problem.
Stick with 225/50/16 size tires.
245/45/16 will not fit up front.
Even with the 225 wide tires, you might have to roll the front fenders for clearance.

Funny, with the exception of the 4-lug versus 5-lug, the FC and S13 run almost identical specs in wheels.
