tII tranny with a n/a bell housing
hey guys, i got this tranny the other day (ebay) and she said it was a tII tranny. after receiving it i looked at the bell housing and i noticed that it looked too much like a n/a. so i took an old flywheel to check and sure enough it was. i thought i was jipped but when i was looking through the haynes manual, i noticed that the transmission case in the pic looked exactly as the one i got. just wanted to see if you guys can confirm this. here's a pic of it (only took the side view):

NA bellhousings are longer before they meet with the gearbox. that looks normal enough to me

It looks like a TII trans to me.

Looks like my TII tranny.
|
That IS a TII tranny, No doubt about it, it IS.
Seriously, believe me, it is. End of debate. |
ok cool...i was just wondering cuz i saw the clutch release cylinder and it was the same size as my n/a. i read from another thread awile back that the tII's were smaller. and then i put in my n/a flywheel and it looked like it matched up.

yea the na release and master cylinders look identical to the t2 ones, ive mixed em up once and couldnt tell them apart lol didnt know which one i installed, might be something worth keepin track of.
