TII power loss

WTF is going on?!?!?!
87TT, 3" downpipe, full 3" exhaust, fcd, and ported wastegate.

Car ran great this a.m.. Went to a buddys house, took him for a quick spin, let the car idle and cut it off. Went to leave 10-15 minutes later and it had now power. Almost like a blown rotor. I tried to drive the car around the block, but it was a turd, no power at all. I checked all the houses for any vacuum leaks as the car was idling about 500 lower than normal and was wanting to die ( 800 normal, was at 300-ish ). I am stumped!! I called the tow company, but about 30 minutes later I went to give it another try and it fired up normally and drove fine.

Any ideas.
Sorry, I dont know what the issue is, so I couldnt know what to "search" for.

Thanks guys!

might be coil pack problem. Sometimes start out as intermitent problems. Could be injector issue.

whats the best way to check?

intermittent problems need to be diagnosed while they are happening and I really dont even know how to conclusivly test coils or (injector on car) you can run a search on testing coilpacks and that would tell you for sure, but again probably have to test while failing.

sigh...happened again. Car has been fine until today. Drove to work, went to lunch, came back out and car is acting up again.
Any other thoughts other than the coil packs? PLugs and wires looked good.
