What really gets to me is when other people
see a NA with a TII hood and some times even TII wheels!
and race them and come back and say they beat a TII...grrrrrrrr

Theres a grey one that goes to my local track
The anouncer says " up next a second generation turbo rx7"
it then runs low 16/high 15's with a loud *** exhaust!! (more so then mine)

I then have to make up for that embarrassment by running a 11 second pass lol

and I know theres a bunch of you GXL and GTU guys
using TII wheels

TII hood on a N/A ok not too ricey
TII Hood and TII wheels...Now you've gone too far
your full blown Ricers!

No diffrent then a SOHC civic with a VTEC sticker
or a 95'ish eclipse with a body kit that makes the car look like a supra all = Rice

Kabooski... holy ****... i never realized you lived in orlando, maybe cuz ive always lived up north and never paid no mind to your Location. i wonder when the next South Fla rotary meet will be... if there is gona be one.

Btw, Rarest's RX first post "Well lets put it to a Vote"... sure sounds like Everette when Pete thought that Everette shouldnt be leader of this here operation

anywho, i was wondering:

TII mirrors on an NA: Rice or not??
Look at what my GTUs came with stock... is that factory-rice?

Like I've said before, some TII wannabe cooked the poll the first night. Reset his cookies and voted 80 times or some ****. Weak? I'd expect nothing less from a riceboy.

Seriously bro, did you read anything I've written? Forget the mirrors, the tailights. The TII Hood is a /TII/ hood. It's for the TMIC.

You put that on something that doesn't have a TMIC because it doesn't have a turbo and that's RICE.

It's easy. Put a WRX hood on your 2.5RS and that's RICE. Whatever your reasons, "It looks cool. It helps vent. Blah blah blah..." People are going to think you have a WRX when you have a 2.5RS. You are leading people to believe you have a faster car than you do...and that's the epitome of rice.

Put a Firehawk hood on your V6 Trans Am...Rice.

Put a Celica All-trac hood on your base Celica...Rice.

Put a SS Hood on your V6 Camaro...Rice.

You are taking a unique styling/performance element that defines the fastest model and are putting on a slower model. You are advertising power you cannot back up. Show vs. Go. Riiiice.

It's easy.

you expect me to read 12 freakin pages of banter???

thats like asking someone if they read the whole thread for "Does a single exhaust on an FC look bad?"... virtually no one has the patience to read thru all that muck..

anywho, i thought the main premise was putting something on your car that didnt belong there...be it a crown airfreshener, neons, GT-R badge, TII hood, TII mirrors... and then the idear of having performance related parts on your car that doesnt belong there would be a sub-category of "putting on something that doestn belong there". but i guess now thats getting into simantics.

Quite frankly, I could care less what others think, having passed that immature stage a very long time ago! Yes, I have a T11 hood on my GXL and the GXL emblems are still there as well... it's *FREE Choice* and that's how it will stay! To set the record straight, the final choice had nothing to do with expense. The option to buy any model I wanted was entirely mine. My n/a hood is wrapped up in the garage, incase I decide to ever change it back

I'ts like a V6 Mustang with cobra rims
then a V6 mustang with cobra grill, exhuast, hood etc

it's RICE your pretending to be something your not

Like a 17 second civic with a whole bunch of racing stickers...loud "5 tip muffler etc
pretending to be fast = RICE

too much rice-a-phobe going around. a tII hood on a n/a isnt rice and neither is TII wheels. they are factory parts that make a car look nicer and yet still clean and not gaudy. putting a TII sticker on your car is wrong though if you have a n/a.

be true to what you like and dont let people change your mind about what you like.

there are some justafiable reasons to have the T2 hood on an NA... well, one: the aluminum construction. the other being, you ruined your stock steel hood and had NO other choice but to use a T2 hood cuz there are no other NA hoods... but i highly doubt that would ever happen... what, with the proliferation of NA's vs. TII's.

i couldnt see it being justafiable as a funcitonal mod... seeing as how a forward facing scoop cannot serve to remove hot air from the engine bay and releive pressure from the engine bay at elevated speeds.

Im just glad my S has the aluminum hood WITHOUT the scoop... and i like my "euro" mirrors alot too, and the fact that they are painted to match the body, unlike my old base model.

i kinda got into a highway battle w/ a 7 that had the T2 hood and the S4 T2 rims... i was in my supra comin back from Tampa w/ my GF and the dog w/ the Targa off... heheh. He kept up pretty good untill i had to let off cuz my dog was freakin out and getting scared... it must have been a genuine T2

C'mon now, you gotta be kidding me. Joke question, right?

If you put a Turbo II drivetrain with a TMIC on, then swap the hood, are you still NA?

Um...no.

You'd be turbo! You've earned your Turbo Hood, because...I know this is difficult for some of you guys...you have a turbo!

Yet another example...you buy a Mini Cooper. You like the way the Mini Cooper S has that cool looking hood scoop...so you buy a Mini Cooper S hood for your regular Mini Cooper.

You are a Ricer. You are fooling people into thinking you have a Mini Cooper S because you have the S hood. With the scoop...for the intercooler...for the supercharger...which you don't have.

Same as the NA guy with the TII hood. You are a Ricer. You are fooling people into thinking you have a Turbo II because you have the TII hood. With the scoop...for the intercooler...for the turbocharger...which you don't have.

All show, no go.

Rice.

Woooooo! You know it's serving a critical function trying to steer the neophyte NA owners away from the Rice Abyss! *wink*

Thanks man, I need to vent my TII hood vitriol every once and awhile!
