throwout bearing?

i just put in the tranny and when i press down the clutch pedal even though the hydrolics work, it wont push back the metal bracket on the tranny that connects to the throwout bearing..i even tried pusing it by hand and it wont move....im assuming something is wrong with the throwout bearing/....

also i know u can't drive withough exhaust, but is it bad to start the car without even the header on?

dude, the fork is VERY difficult to move by hand even when everything's working properly...if you're pushing the clutch peddle down, and it's not moving that fork (assuming everything's installed correctly), you've got a hydraulics problem...

the clutch pedal is REALLY easy to push down, no pressure at all needed, but it springs right back up

WAYNE88N/A 03-17-04 09:22 PM

hydraulics....

krazykoncepts 03-17-04 09:26 PM

ok...i am going to re-bleed the system right now....be back in 15 mins

krazykoncepts 03-17-04 09:54 PM

ok bled the system again...got some air out and that seems to be the problem...pedal now has pressure...

so the other question can u start a n/a car without the exhuast attached?

dude, I would rather stand in front of one of our jet engines at takeoff thrust than stand anywhere near a rotary running without so much as a header on it!!!
