Throttle Body Spacer
 
New to then brap brap scene. I am wanting to restore this fc. should I get a oem throttle body spacer? Looks like mines has some kind of leak but I don’t seen any gaskets that come with the part.

If yours is cracked or leaking, just get a new one. They have paper gasket material on either side of them. Leave that on because thats what creates many of your vacuum line channels. It sandwiches between the UIM and the TB

Okay sounds good thanks. What is a UIM? Also is it better to stick with OEM or is there a better aftermarket replacement?

Upper Intake Manifold. there basically is no aftermarket for these cars

I’ve gotten away with using a “thin” layer of permatex motoseal rtv a replacement gasket.

Ah okay thanks for the tips. haha throttle body spacer probally not a sexy part to make anyways haah.
