Throttle body size

Greets in advance. I'm currently building up a custom intake manifold for m y 86-92 4 port and am wondering if anyone happens to know the diameter size of the throttle body opening. This is a custom engine application where I'm planning on mating a cone filter onto the throttle body opening and drawing my air from inside the engine compartment. Many thanks for your response(s) in advance. Also, I've already searched around and haven't been able to find a direct answer on this outside of "get as big a TB as possible”. Again, many thanks.

There are three throttle body butterflys on the FC. What does custom mean? There are two different motors in the year range you listed. Searching around hear will show you lots of custom motors and intake systems.

##Tweaked. This custom application is an aviation application. The runners will be 16.6” long to peak both HP and torque at or near 6600 RPM and produce somewhere in the neighborhood of 160hp (he says hopefully). I plan to use the on rotor housing primary injector location and weld in bungs for the secondary injectors. Here’re some pics of the engine flange ->

I plan to wrap the runners over the engine and have a common plenum on top. I’ll attach the throttle body to that common plenum and either A) put a cone filter on the TB *OR* …. Better yet …. Fab a cold air intake. For my common plenum I’ll be using the design queues provided by http://www.galantvr4.org/ubbthreads/...page=2&fpart=1.
##arghx. Many thanks for the info. From the numbers you provided ti looks like a 90mm single will do the trick. Does that sound sane to you?
