They keep pulling me back!

Greetings,

I have not been on this forum for a long time now. I recently purchased another FC, my 4th so far.

This car is kind of a heap. It runs, but it was held together with hopes and dreams.

For instance, the drivers side caliper is held on with a wheel lug nut!!! And the top bolt is cross threaded. I have been searching for a good set of caliper bolts, but the usual RX7 performance shops don't' see to have them Neither does the Dealership.

Where can i get a quality set of caliper bolts?

Thanks,

I don't believe they are anything fancy (been awhile since i've had mine off). If you look at the FAQ section above, somewhere in there should be the thread pitch and size for the thread, just goto a hardware store, get a tap (if the threads are super screwed) and a hardened bolt and be on your way

Right but when I search for them I get these looking things:

are you taking about the caliper bracket bolts?
The bolts you pictured are for the back. One is a slider bolt and the other is a threaded bolt.

You can get the bolts at the dealer. I had to order one when I forget to tighten it and it flew off. Oops.

I believe we used this diagram to find it.

Thanks for the help. I called the dealership last week and told them I need caliper bolts, and they said no one has them. Perhaps with this sheet I can get more help.

I need the bolts that are on the top of the 2nd pic. 9975-01-1238

After that, it looks like I will need a lock washer and a regular washer too?

Not sure if I am asking for the right part. Basically I need the 2 bolts and washers that hold the caliper to the knuckle.

Right now one is cross threaded, and the other is some how held on with a wheel's lug nut!!

Then I do not know why you would be looking for the replacement bolts when they are just not going to fit anyways.
My suggestion is to either re-tap and use other bolts or get a replacement knuckle, because if the threads on that are screwed then you basically are too!

Remember it is a safety factor, not only for you but for the others you encounter on the road, and IF something happens and your insurance company finds out about this??..
