Are these springs worth it?

I would like to be a little lower, but I don't know what I will have to do to compensate for any camber/toe differences. |
Something about the "Mookeeh" bothers me, I'de just buy the Tein springs for the same money.
|
looks like junk but i have no experience with them, just i get this aura about them that they aren't worth the effort to put on any car.
usually my instincts are dead on. i have the Teins, nice and low but decent ride hieght and the ride is decent for sport and daily driving. |
yea i was looking at those too but i think im just gonna go with some nice springs and shocks... they just seem cheap to me
|
I would be EXTREMELY skeptical of a cheap supsension component, after seeing what happened with the subie and the JIC's i've been scared of useing certain brands.
|
Yeah I would pretty much stick with Tein, Eibach, and corksport with it comes to suspension and springs.......
|
Well how much could I expect to pay for 1.5 inch lowering Tein or Corksport used? Or do you guys not recomend used?
|
you can get the Tein's super cheap off of ebay. Like $150 if i remember correctly. Just buy new ones.
|
what are some good springs that will stiffen up the suspension a lot but not quite lower it all that much i dont want it lowered anymore than 1 inch otherwise it will be way to low for New England

Why buy a component so pivotal to your safety cheaply? And Karack, do you need anything for camber with the Teins? |
I like ground control's coilovers
|
u know wuts funny....i was a daredevil and installed those coilovers on my gfs s4 base model...paired with tokico blues and cusco camber plates...more so stiff, not as bouncy as i thought it was gonna be, but stiff.....they do their job for the price...and they let u adjust ride height which is good..installation was straightforward...had them on for about 7 months now and no problems yet...the build quality wasnt too bad, as i have seen from many other ebay crap...u can never go wrong with more quality stuff...just as long as your wallet and your patience is big enuf....
but bottom line....these cheapy coilovers do wut they need to do...thats it...if ur hardcore, go quality obviously.... |

I looked at these, and emailed the seller. He said the spring rates were 8K and 6K.
I ended up buying a set of BC coilovers. |
I have a set of Tein Stechs that I will sell for $100 plus shipping that I just took off our autocross car. They are a direct replacement for Sport springs just a little bit lower, about 3/4 - 1 inch in front and 1 3/4 in back. Alignment was not a problem the shop was able to get everything to specs easily.
They rode great but I needed to be able to put in camber plates and adjust each corner for corner weighting. The Teins have less that 1000 miles on them. PM me if interested. |
