thernal pellet stuck in E shaft
So being too hasty in getting the finishing touches done on my engine before I install it, I put my Atkins Thermal pellet in before the sping and torqued down the pulley bolt. So today as I was going through to get the torque specs on the manis ect ect ect, I see in my manual that I did it incorrectly.
I took the pulley bolt out and got the spring out, but cannot dislodge the pellet. Im thinkin I jammed it in there. Anyone have suggestions to get it out short of pulling engine apart again? I dont have the money to spend on another gasket kit and this project is taking longer then expected anyways. I soaked the hell outta it with PB blaster too, so anything else will be nice for suggestions. P.S. dont flame, we all make mistakes. |
you may have to drill, tap, and pull it out with a bolt.

Thats what Im thinkin too. I really dont want to do that, but with the pellet bein aluminum (sp) Im thinkin I might have belled out the one end and gonna have to pretty much destroy it to get it out. Ahh, live and learn.
