thermowax, TPS and throttle body questions
 

I know there is a lot of threads on the subject, and I think I've read pretty much on the subject. Maybe I haven't understood everything but I've read and experienced a lot for the past 2 weeks.

But, I felt the title wasn't clear, as it was covering another problem.

So basically I would like to know if what happens in that video is normal, or does it mean that my throttle body needs lubrication:

I would also like to know if it could be my problem. I was able to adjust everything to a fantastic idle, but it was a bit too low for my taste so as soos as I came back I tried to fix it, but with only bad results. The idle was too low and little lever on the video was up against the stop screw up there in front of the dash pot.

that is suppose to move freely, not get stuck. that lever should only be up against the stop screw when you car is fully warmed up, otherwise if its cold, it should not be touching. as your car warms up, the thermowax pushes the rod up, pushing that little screw and lever up so that it touches the stop screw.

The car was fully warmed up at the time of the video. I seriously don't want to remove the throttle body to dissemble it completely and lubricate everything. I know what will happen if I do so: Coolant everywhere, bubbles in the coolant, erratic idle again and trying to bleed the air out. I dont really have time for all of this at the moment.

I will try to lubricate it in place. Any suggestions?

I cleaned my springs and linkage with Brake Kleen and then let that sit a touch(evaporate)..then got a Dab of axle grease and rubbed the springs,etc.
My TB used to stick,Now it is fine.
Try that?
and if you find you need TB parts,I have a couple crappy TB's here.
