Thermal Pellet Q... ASAP

I went to put a new thermal pellet in and i forgot to put the shims in it and after starting to bolt it down i realized i forgot to shim it when i took it out it the bottom pin is retracted back into the thermal pellet , i need to know if i f'ed it up or will it be fine with shims ?

On that note i shim'd the pellet and installed it ... and my oil pressure is still low... bad sending unit ? or any ideas ?

ya the http://fc3spro.com/TECH/HOWTO/OTB/otb.html says you need to shim the new 1 .. but my old one was def beat. but i still have the low oil press on gauge.... might be time to get a aftermarket gauge . but i do like the stock look

Usually people put in a new solid thermal pellot. You can buy one from atkins for about $8. All that is needed is the solid pellot and the spring.

I would but this, attach the spring and install. This will elminate the old crappy system and you don't have to worry about shims.

Is the spring needed for this...? I just took off a front cover to a failed motor and found this item w/out the spring..??

yes it is, and did you check to see if the spring was still in the e-shaft?
